South West monsoon has advanced today 26th May into more part of South West Bay of Bengal central Bay of Bengal North East Bay of Bengal.
Cyclone Remal
The severe cyclonic storm REMAL lies over North Bay of Bengal near Latitude 19.8 degree N longitude 89.3 E at 0830 hours of today 26th May 2024.
260 km South South West of Khepupara of Bangladesh. Cyclonic Storm REMAL will cross Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal between Sagar island and Khepupara close to South West Mongla of Bangladesh by midnight of today the 26th May 2024.
Rainfall:
On 27th May West Bengal will face heavy to very heavy rain.
On 28th and 29th Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh will observe heavy rain. Assam and Meghalaya will observe heavy to very heavy rain during same period.
On 27th 28th and 29th Kerala and coastal Karnataka will observe moderate to heavy rain.
On 31st May and 01st June South Interior Karnataka, Telangana and south Andhra Pradesh will observe moderate to heavy rain.
On 30th and 31st May Maharashtra including Konkan area will observe Thunder activity.
Temperature:
Temperature of Maharashtra will start falling from 29th onward.
North West India will not get relief from heat wave.
