Monsoon Watch ending 28th April 2018
Report of 24th April has a model forecast for negative I O D for the months July and August which are the main months of monsoon.
Pacific ocean will be neutral during this period. India Meteorological Department issued forecast for a low pressure area which is likely to form over Andaman Sea. This low may intensify and move to Gulf of Martaban and may cross Yangon area.
The benefit of this low will contribute some force to monsoon. Here one point is to be cleared that negative I O D is not favouring the Indian Monsoon.
