Weather Weekly Report Ending 02nd December 2017

Last week, because of active Meddan Jullian Oscillation over India Ocean, two low pressure area developed over Indian sea area. First low pressure in bay travelled towards Srilanka and intensified into a cyclone and second over South Andaman sea.

The cyclone Ockhi intensified further and on 03rd December it remain as very severe cyclonic storm over East Central and adjoining South East Arabian sea. Initially Ockhi will move North North West ward and later little North ward and weaken slowly. It will cross as weak low through Surat and Dahanu.

Another low pressure area developed over South Andaman sea and moving towards North Tamilnadu and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast.

Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat state observed dry weather. Not much change in day and night temperature were observed. Only Vidarbha had little cold nights during the week.

Forecast for the week 03rd December 09th December)

From 04th to 06th districts of Saurashtra, Konkan – Goa and Gujarat region likely to get rainfall at few places because of remnant of cyclonic cyclone reaching land area. Districts like Surat, Dahanu, Bharuch, Narmada, Bhavnagar and Batod will get good amount of rain during this period. From 07th to 09th again region will experience dry weather. There will be increase in night temperature over the districts mentioned above.

No significant change in day and night temperature likely to happen during the week.
