Weather Weekly Report – 19th November 2017

Realised Weather over Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat State and Synoptic situation. (12thNovemberto 18th November)

Last week the low pressure area over west central Bay of Bengal intensified and became depression. It moved close to north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coast just 100 kilometer east of Gopalpur. But after that it took turn and taken a north east direction. By 16th it weaken to low again and now less marked. Because of this system Kolkata observed intermittent rain and disrupted the test match between India and Sri Lanka.

Weather over the state of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa was dry. No significant change in day and night temperature were observed except Vidarbha and North Gujarat where a little drop in night temperature were felt.

North East monsoon will be active over South Peninsular India as easterlies will be strong next week. Tamilnadu Kerala and South Interior Karnataka will get rain on 21 22 23 and from 25th November rainfall activity will decrease.

Forecast for the week 19th November to 25th November)

Next week a low pressure area will develop over Andaman sea on 21st November.

Easterlies will be little strong. A trough in easterlies runs from Maldives area to South coastal Karnataka. Due to these systems, districts of South Madhya Maharashtra and South Konkan like Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri will observe rain at few places on 22 23 24 of November. Ahmednagar and Pune will also observe rain on 22 23 at isolated places. Rest of the districts will remain dry in next week.

Vidarbha, Jalgaon, Nashik, Ahmednagar will feel drop in minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degree from 19th onwards. North Gujarat also will experience drop in minimum temperature by 2 to 4 degree c from 19th onwards.
