Realised weather during the week 17-06-2018 to 23-06-2018.

Last week Monsoon did not advance over the country. However on 23rd IMD has advanced monsoon from Thane to Valsad over Konkan, up to Malegaon in North Madhya Maharashtra , in Vidarbha up to Amravati and Gondia and in Odisha up to Cuttack. Vidarbha and North Madhya Maharashtra districts faced heat wave at one or two places.

Forecast for the week 24-06-2018 to 30-06-2018.

In the coming week due to active monsoon flow west coast of Maharashtra will get good rain during first half of the week. However interior Maharashtra and Vidarbha will not be benefitted much. Monsoon will advance in South Gujarat and part of Saurashtra also. Districts of Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Mumbai and Thane districts of coastal Maharashtra will get heavy rain during first half of the week. Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Bhavnagar and Amreli districts of Gujarat will get good amount of monsoon rain in the first half of the week.

In the second half that is from 28th to 30th Gadchiroli Chandrapur Wardha Nagpur Bhandara will get rain. Ahmednagar Aurangabad Jalna Parbhani will also get light to moderate rain. Pune Nashik Dhule Jalgaon will get enough rain. In Gujarat Banas Kantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabar, Kantha districts will get good amount of rain. Districts of South Rajasthan like Banswara, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Udaipur, Sirohi, Jhalawar will also get equal amount of rain as of north Gujarat districts. Districts of west coast of Maharashtra will continue to receive heavy rain in the second half of the week also.

 

Monsoon watch 2018:

Next week monsoon is expected to be active over Central part of the country. On 27th and 28th districts of Rajasthan like Jhalawar, Chitorgarh, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara will get good amount of rainfall even north Gujarat districts also will get monsoon rain in enough amount. The Bay of Bengal branch also will advance till Uttar Pradesh after crossing Bihar and Jharkhand. At the end of the week monsoon current will knock the door of Uttar Pradesh.
