During the last week in North West India dust storm affected Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. It brought down the day temperatures but due to squall and high wind speed damages took place.

Gujarat and interior Maharashtra was hot. Temperatures were between 43 and 46 degree Celsius.

Temperatures were between 43 and 46 degree Celsius. Gadciroli, Nagpur, Dhule, Jalgaon in Maharashtra and Patan, Mehsana of Gujarat were too hot. Konkan area and coastal area of Gujarat were not so hot. Temperatures of these area were influenced by sea breeze.

Chandrapur recorded highest maximum temperature of 47.3°C on 11th May 2018.

Forecast for the week 13-05-2018 to 19-05-2018
In the next week interior Maharashtra Vidarbha and Gujarat state will face temperatures between 41 and 44 degree Celsius. Vidarbha, North Madhya Maharashtra and North Gujarat will observe heat wave at one or two places on 13th and 14th May.

During the week thunder storm will affect Vidarbha, districts of South Madhya Maharashtra such as Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Kolhapur and southern part of Marathwada such as Latur, Nanded, Beed.

In the north thunder storm activity will be increasing over North East India. This will affect to Odisha and West Bengal also. South Interior Karnataka will have heavy rain and thunder during next week due to LOW over South Arabian Sea.
