Weekly Weather Report Ending 14th October 2018

Last week was cyclonic storm week.

A low pressure area developed over south east Arabian Sea on 07th intensified into deep depression on 8th and further into cyclonic storm LUBAN and centred at latitude 12.9 degree north and longitude 60.2 degree east. Full week it travelled WNW direction and on 13th it is lying over Latitude 14.8 N Longitude 55.6 E nearly 290 km ESE of Ghaidah (Yemen).

Another low pressure area developed over SouthEast Bay of Bengal on 7th October. On 8th it became Depression and on 10th it intensified into cyclonic storm TITLI. On 11th TITLI became very severe cyclonic storm and just touch Odisha coast and then recurved and moved towards West Bengal.

Today it is lying as a low pressure area over West Bengal and adjoining Bangaladesh and North Bay of Bengal.

IMD did not declare any further withdraw of monsoon. Withdrawal line continue to pass through Lat. 16 deg N Long. 94 deg E, Lat. 15 deg N Long. 90 deg E, Machilipatnam, Kurnool, Gadag, Vengurla Lat. 16 deg N Long. 60 deg E.

Due to Cyclonic Storm TITLI North East Monsoon could not settle over east coast. TITLI moved first NW ward and then NE ward.

Forecast for the week 14-10-2018 to 20-10-2018.

Kerala will experience moderate rain & Andaman Nicobar light to moderate rain throughout the week.

Due to Western disturbance J&K,Himachal Pradesh will have light to moderate rain.

Also Coastal Andhra, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka will experience rain throughout the week.

Weather will be dry over Bihar, UP,  MP, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Day temperature will rise. Monsoon will withdraw from entire country.
