Weekly Weather Report Ending 28th April 2018

Realised weather during the week 22-04-2018 to 28-04-2018.

During the last week in Vidarbha , parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat state excluding coastal area was hot. Temperatures were above 40 degree Celsius.

Chandrapur recorded 45.6 deg C on 27th April 2018.

In the first half of the week high waves originated from remote location prevailed over coastal water of west coast, east coast and coastal water of Andaman and Nicobar island. Now a days India Meteorological Department issue the forecast for high waves also. The site for this forecast is www.incois.gov.in/portal/osf/osf.jsp.

The wind discontinuity prevailed North – South in the peninsular India across North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka full week. South Interior Karnataka received rainfall at few places.

 

Rainfall activity:

Under the effect of Western Disturbance, number of places in North East of India recorded good rainfall upto 100 mm on 22nd April 2018. Thereafter rainfall decreased recording a one or two places throughout the week.

 

Forecast of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa state for the week 29-04-2018 to 05-05-2018.

Next week also will be dry and hot for  Vidarbha , Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat state (excluding coastal area) will face heat waves.

Weather will be dry  Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa state.

India Meteorological Department issued forecast for a low pressure area which is likely to form over Andaman Sea.
