Ockhi Intensified Into Severe Cyclone & Is Followed By One More System In Bay

Ockhi has now become a very severe cyclonic storm which is over Lakshadweep area as per 1730 hours IST. It is moving in west northwestwards direction with the speed of 12 kmph. It is still 100 km away from Minicoy. The storm may intensify further and then  recurve  northeastwards during  the  subsequent 48 hours as per IMD.

One more system is intensified into a well marked low pressure area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining strait of Malacca. It is very likely to move towards north Tamilnadu and south Andhra pradesh coast during next 3-4 days.
