Realised Weather over Maharashtra from 28th May to 03rd June 2017:

Cyclone Mora

Low pressure area over south Bay of Bengal became depression and then intensified into Cyclonic Storm. It crossed Bangaladesh as severe Cyclonic Storm. The power given to monsoon current by this Cyclone is still continuing.

 

Rainfall:

From 31st May to 03rd June rainfall occurred at few places over Maharashtra. From 28th to 30th May rainfall occurred at isolated places over the districts of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.

From 31st May to 03rd June moderate to heavy rain occurred isolated places over the districts of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.

 

Temperature:

From 28th to 30th May North Konkan witnessed dry weather.

On 28th Vidarbha experienced heat wave there after wards thunder storm occurred at isolated places over Vidarbha.

On 28th May when heat wave prevailed Vidarbha, Chandrapur recorded 47.2 deg c which was highest maximum temperature during the week over the Maharashtra state.

 

Forecast for next week from 04th June to 11th June 217:

Rainfall over Maharashtra during next week:

Distribution wise little increase in rainfall in second half of the week in Maharashtra.

Rainfall will occur from from 04th June to 06 June 2017, at isolated places over the districts of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg and even Goa state.

Heavy rainfall expected from 07th June to 10th June 2017 in the districts of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg . North Konkan will observe moderate to heavy rainfall.

Light to moderate rainfall will be witnessed in first half of the week in the districts of Nashik, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar, Sangli, Satara, Solapur and Kolhapur.

Marathwada will see good rainfall in second half of the week because one system will be forming in Bay of Bengal and in Arabian sea.
