Weekly Weather Report Ending 10th November 2018

Realised weather during the week 04-11-2018 to 10-11-2018.

During the last week western disturbance affected J & K, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Rain and snowfall observed in first half of the week. Day temperature fell appreciably over these area. Due to snowfall West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Northern part of Madhya Pradesh also experienced fall in day temperature.

However Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana and Rayalaseema did not observe any change in day temperature. These areas experienced hot days. Weather was dry over these areas. Tamil Nadu received rain at one or two places.

 

Forecast for the week 11-11-2018 to 17-11-2018.

As discussed in last weekly, a well marked low pressure area is lying today over South East Bay of Bengal. It will intensify further and move towards coast of Tamil Nadu. Systems in easterlies has already been discussed in NE Monsoon chapter. This is also one system in easterlies. Circulation over Comorin area and circulation over Lakshadweep area, all these are systems in easterlies.

Over J & K a fresh Western Disturbance will be crossing from 11th onward. As per present synoptic situation J & K, Uttara Khand, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab will get rain from 13th to 16th November.

11th 12th 13th West Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh and NCR area will observe drop in night temperature. After 13th little rise. North East area states of the country will experience fog during the week.

Circulation over Comorin will give rain to South Tamil Nadu on 11th and 12th November. From 16th November the up coming cyclonic storm will come closer to Tamil Nadu and there will be rain over Puduchery and parts of Tamil Nadu.

Rest of the country will experience dry weather.
