Cyclone JAWAD Formed Over Bay of Bengal

The Cyclonic Storm ‘JAWAD’ has formed over westcentral Bay of Bengal today on 3rd December 2021, located about 360 km south­southeast of Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) and 530 km south­southwest of Puri (Odisha). It is likely to move north­northwestwards, intensify further and reach westcentral Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh – south Odisha coasts by 4th December morning.

Thereafter it is likely to recurve north­northeastwards and move along Odisha coast reaching Puri around 5th December noon. Subsequently, it is likely to continue to move north­northeastwards along coastal Odisha towards West Bengal coast.
