Southwest Monsoon Update till 4th June 2026

As per IMD, the Southwest Monsoon has made further progress and has now covered:

• The remaining parts of the southwest and southeast Arabian Sea
• Parts of the west-central and east-central Arabian Sea
• The entire Lakshadweep Islands
• Kerala and Mahe
• Parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
• The remaining areas of the Comorin region
• The southeast Bay of Bengal
• Additional parts of the southwest, west-central, east-central, and northeast Bay of Bengal

Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM)

As on 4 June 2026, the Northern Limit of Monsoon passes through:

14°N/60°E → 13.5°N/65°E → 13°N/70°E → Mangaluru → Udhagamandalam → Kodaikanal → Thoothukudi → 8.8°N/79°E → 11°N/83°E → 14.5°N/87°E → 17.5°N/90°E → 20°N/93°E → 22°N/95°E
