Monsoon Trough
The monsoon trough is to the south of its normal position. During the next week the western end of monsoon trough shift to the north.
A cyclonic circulation lies over central Madhya Pradesh. Another cyclonic circulation lies over South Odisha.
Low Pressure Area (LPA)
A LPA will form over Central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast on 25th July. It will intensify further by 26th July.
Rainfall Activity:
On 24th, 25th and 26th – Moderate to heavy rain over Karnataka coast, Konkan and Goa coast, South Gujarat Region.
Moderate rainfall over West Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh and at some places heavy during the same period as the trough shifting northward.
On 26th July – North Uttar Pradesh area may observe very heavy rainfall.
On 26th July – Due to intensifying of LPA there will be heavy rainfall in second half of the week over Telangana, Marathwada, South Chhattisgarh, South Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
