HEATWAVE CONDITIONS OVER GUJARAT & MAHARASHTRA DURING 10TH TO 16TH APRIL 2020

Anticyclone of the North Arabian sea will be moving towards Saurashtra & Kutch. By the 10th or 11th of this month, this anticyclone will be near or over Saurashtra and Kutch  This situation will bring heatwave over this region. The heatwave is associated with the hot winds flowing from Rajasthan towards Gujarat in a Northwesterly direction and later over Maharashtra due to Northeasterly winds.

Areas of North Maharashtra will observe hot days. Intense day radiation and the cloud-free sky will raise the temperature of adjoining Maharashtra. Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Buldhana, Nasik, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Jalna, Beed, Solapur districts will observe hot days between 12th and 16th.
