Increase in Rainfall Activity Due To Two Low Pressure Systems

Here is the Weather Forecast for the week 13th September to 19th September. There is an increase in rainfall activity due to two low-pressure systems keeping September the active monsoon month.

Low-Pressure Systems

The low-Pressure Area formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal has become more marked. It will concentrate further into depression. Another low-pressure area which was over east Rajasthan has shifted to south Rajasthan and adjoining north Gujarat today. The monsoon trough is south of its normal position.

Rainfall Activity

Due to the depression rainfall activity over West Bengal, north Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand , Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Vidarbha will increase from 13th to 16th September.

As the depression will move west northwest the areas coming in its path will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. These areas are Odisha, UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana and north Rajasthan.

Due to low over South Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat, rainfall activity over south Rajasthan Gujarat region Saurashtra Kutch and North Konkan will increase from 13th to 16th September. Also, areas like south Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kutch, Saurashtra and north Konkan in Maharashtra will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.

From 17th to 19th rainfall activity will further move to Haryana and Delhi and West Rajasthan.

One More Low Pressure

To the end of the week, one more low may form over the Bay of Bengal.
