Low Formation Over Bay Favourable Sign For Monsoon Advancement

Formation of low pressure in Bay is good news and very effective in Monsoon Advancement over peninsular India.

On 9th June 2020, a low pressure has formed over East Central Bay of Bengal with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto mid-tropospheric levels. It will move in a west-northwest direction and intensify into well-marked within the next 48 hours.

Under the influence of this Low-Pressure Area, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall accompanied with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall likely over Odisha, north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during 09th and 10th June, over central India during 11th to 13th June.

Due to the strengthening of southwesterly flow, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely along the west coast of India from 10th to 13th June.
