Monsoon 2023 Update & Intensifying Low Pressure Over Arabian Sea

During the week south westerly current is favourable and strong. South West monsoon will advance in Bay of Bengal and reach Andaman Nicobar island by middle of the week. South West monsoon will reach Kerala by end of the week.

 

Low Pressure System over Arabian Sea

A cyclonic circulation will be forming over Arabian sea west of Minicoy by 04th June. This cyclonic circulation will intensify later.

 

Western Disturbance

From 29th of May active Western Disturbance will cross North India. During the first half of the week Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir will observe rain.

 

Rain and thunder activity

Rajasthan Haryana Punjab and Jammu sector will face hail storm at some places during the same period.

On 30th 31st 01st June and 02nd June south coastal Karnataka South Interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala will start observing rain with thunder. South Interior Karnataka and South Coastal Karnataka will face thunder with heavy rain.
