Realized weather during the last week from 04th May to 10th May

Chhattisgarh was the most affected area of a thunderstorm last week. Odisha. East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Kerala, Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir also faced thunderstorms. Rain or thundershowers occurred at Assam Meghalaya Uttarakhand Chhattisgarh Nagaland Manipur Mizoram Tripura South Interior Karnataka Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal.

Last week was too hot for Vidarbha North Maharashtra and North Interior Karnataka.

A cyclonic circulation is at present lies over central south UP and a trough is extending from this cyclonic circulation up to south interior Karnataka. As per the model, a wind discontinuity is there from north Kerala to the south tip of the country.

The highest maximum temperature45 deg C was recorded between 05th to 07th May was at Akola (Vidharba). From 08th May hot days started of west Rajasthan with Churu (Rajasthan) recorded 45 deg C on 10th

 

FORECAST FOR NEXT WEEK 11th to 17th May 2020:

Formation of low and then Cyclone:

A low will be forming tomorrow near Malaysia coast this low will be moving towards South West Bay of Bengal and becoming a cyclone. ECMRF model showing that cyclone will head towards Visakhapatnam.

Thundershowers:

The Northeast region of India will observe rain or thundershower full week. Some spells will be heavy over these areas.

In southern India, Kerala and interior Tamil Nadu will face thundershower during the week. Here also on some occasions, there will be heavy rain.

District of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will observe rain or thundershower during the week. In Odisha, some spells will be heavy.

Vidarbha may face thundershower on the 11th and 12th of May.
