WEATHER REPORT FROM 15TH-21ST JUNE & FORECAST FOR 22ND TO 28TH JUNE 2020

Here is the realized weather during the last week from 15 June to 21 June 2020.

Monsoon Progress:

On 15th June monsoon covered entire Chhattisgarh Jharkhand Bihar.

On 16 June monsoon covered some more parts of West Madhya Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh, most part of East Madhya Pradesh.

 

Rainfall:

Last week Northeast region of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura had heavy rain.

Similarly East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh had a good rain.

In central India Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Gujarat region had a good rain.

Konkan and Goa had heavy rain full week excluding North Konkan.

In south Kerala received good rain with some heavy spells in the week. Coastal Karnataka experienced good rain but interior Karnataka and Telangana observed little rain on some days. Tamil Nadu got very less amount of rain.

21 June is the summer solstice day means the longest day of the year and coincidently it is solar eclipse day.

17 June – Basti 33 cm, Panjim, Karwar 14cm each, Mormugao, Honawar, Manguluru 12 each, Vengurla 11cm, Sidharthnagar, Shirali 9 each, DaltonganjPendra road 8 each, Gorakhpur 7.

18 June – Cherapunji 24, Vengurla 16, Mormugao 14, Ratnagiri 12, Karwar 11, Agartala Gangtok, Kalimpong 10 each, Harnai, Bhopal 9 each, Jhalawad, Cooch Behar, Mahabaleshwar 7 each.

19 June – Bhopal 13, Cherapunji 10, Goa 9, Ratnagiri, Patna 8 each, Harnai 7.

20 June – Guhagar Sambalpur 15 cm Sidharthnagar 11 Jhalawar 9 Gorakhpur Guna 7.

21 June – Sundargarh 11 Porbandar Bahraich 10 Sultanpur Dehri 7.

 

Heat Wave Conditions:

On 17   18   19 June, West Rajasthan experienced a heatwave.

On 16 and 20 June, East Rajasthan had a heavy spell of rain. North-East states of the country had good rain full week.

The highest maximum temperature recorded at 0830 hours and heavy rainfall recorded at 0830 hours by the stations

15 June  – GanganagarWest Rajasthan 44.9 Deg. C.

16 June  – Bikaner in West Rajasthan 46.2 Deg. C.

17 June  – Bikaner47.4 deg. C.

18 June  – Bikaner 47.8 deg. C.

19 June – Ayanagar, Delhi 46.4 deg. C.

20 June – Pillani44.9 deg. C.

21 June – Phalodi43.2 deg. C.

 

Forecast–  (22 June to 28 June)

Cyclonic Circulation

A Low-pressure area was expected to form over North Bay of Bengal but cyclonic circulation did not convert into low, however the cyclonic circulation would be moving towards Uttar Pradesh and Punjab pulling monsoon to West UP or Delhi by 24th or 25th June.

 

Monsoon Status

In the coming week, monsoon will be active over North-East States of the country, East Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, North Madhya Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab.

 

Rainfall

SouthEast Rajasthan and adjoining North Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh also will get some rainfall.

On 25th a cyclonic circulation will form over coastal Andhra Pradesh. Due to this situation, Marathwada may get rain on 26th, 27th, 28th June. Konkan and Goa, Kerala continue to receive rain however intensity will be reduced.

Tamil Nadu may get little rain or no rain.
