Realized weather during the last week from 20 July to 26 July

Monsoon Trough

During the last week, the western part of monsoon trough was some time at foothills and some time either at the normal position or at little south of normal position.

The Eastern part of monsoon trough was at the foothills of Himalaya.

 

Rainfall

In North West of India a wide area observed good rainfall activity. North Rajasthan, West UP, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, HP and Uttarakhand received a good amount of rain.

In North-East India Bihar, Assam Meghalaya and other states received heavy rainfall. Bihar Assam Meghalaya completely collapsed due to flood. If we see the rainfall of Cherapunji, it recorded from 19th to 22nd 29cm, 39cm, 39cm, 14cm.

In Maharashtra from 23 to 25 July, Vidarbha Marathwada North Madhya Maharashtra received good rain.

 

Forecast–  (27th July to 02nd August)

Monsoon Trough

Monsoon Trough will be at the foothills of Himalaya till the 29th of July.

On 29 or 30 a cyclonic circulation will shift the western part of monsoon trough little southward.

The Eastern part of monsoon trough will be at foothills till 01st August. Due to this situation, West Rajasthan Gujarat West MP and Kutch will not get rain.

 

Rainfall

Eastern part of the Country Bihar UP North East states will continue to receive a good amount of rain. From 29th July to 01st August western area like Northeast Rajasthan, West UP, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi will get a good rain.

In Maharashtra on 29th, 30th and 31lyst July Vidarbha and Marathwada area will get moderate rain.

On 2nd August Konkan, Marathwada, East Rajasthan, South Chhattisgarh some part of Gujarat will get rain.

 

Formation of Cyclonic Circulation

A cyclonic circulation will form over coastal Odisha on 02nd August. After that only central India will get rain.
