Weather report from 28th Sept to 4th Oct 2020:
Monsoon Withdrawal
As mentioned earlier about withdrawal symptoms, from starting of the last week the monsoon was withdrawn from west Rajasthan and Punjab. By 4th October the monsoon is withdrawn till Gwalior, Bahraich, Sawai Madhavpur as seen below: (Image source: IMD)
Low Pressure Over Bay
On 1st October a low pressure was formed in Northwest Bay near to South Odisha coast. It remained in the sea around the same area till 04th October 2020.
Western Disturbance
There was two western disturbances (WD) observed. First WD seen over North Pakisthan moved away in Northeast wards direction while second WD persisted in Afghanistan and neighbourhood areas moved eastwards.
Rainfall
Monsoon was active with rainfall in many places in the first half of the week over Tamilnadu, Andhra some pockets of Karnataka while in the second half over Odisha and lately in coastal parts of Maharashtra.

29th Sept – Car Nicobar 151
30th Sept – Bengaluru 54, Visakhapatnam 50
01st Oct- Port Blair 49, Bhubaneshwar 32
02nd Oct – Dibrugarh 74, Kohima 47
03rd Oct – Port Blair 32
04th Oct – Patna 78, Mumbai 55.
Forecast for next week from 05-10-2020 to 11-10-2020
Low Pressure Over Bay
The low pressure of the Bay of Bengal is over Odisha coast. The low-pressure area of Bay of Bengal will entre inland area this week. Due to the movement of this low-pressure area rainfall activity will start over Telangana, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra and South Konkan in the second half of the week. North Interior Karnataka area will also be observing rainfall.
Formation of One More Low Over Andaman Sea
On 9th October a low-pressure area is going to form over the Andaman sea. It is likely to intensify further.
Monsoon Withdrawal
Mumbai and adjoining areas will observe thunderstorm activity on 09th 10th and 11th October. In the coming week withdrawal also will take place from the area of UP, MP and Gujarat.
