Weekly forecast for the week 23rd to 29th August

Monsoon trough is North of its normal position. It will further shift northwards.

Rainfall activity will increase over North East India, Northern part of UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh.

On 23rd, 24th Haryana, Punjab will get rain. Due to cyclonic circulation over Tamil Nadu and it’s interior, Rayalaseema and part of South Interior Karnataka will get rain. North Eastern states, Uttarakhand and HP will get heavy rain.

At the end of the week that is on Saturday or Sunday a low pressure area will form over Bay of Bengal off South Odissa coast. This will bring rain to central India and adjoining Central East India.

During next week rainfall activity over North West India and adjoining Central India will reduce. Maharashtra will take rest as there will be no rain.
