Weekly forecast for the week from 3 July to 9 July 2023

Indian Meteorological Department has declared that South West Monsoon has covered entire country today 2nd July 2023.

Low Pressure Area
A cyclonic circulation has formed over central part of south Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast.and it will become low pressure area.

This low pressure area will move west northwest direction. By the end of the week it will reach to Gujarat.

Rainfall Activity
On 03rd, 04th and 05th – Heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur over South Konkan, Goa, Karnataka coast and Kerala coast.

Telangana Marathwada Vidarbha South Chhattisgarh north Madhya Maharashtra will observe moderate rain at some places heavy rain.
Hills of West Bengal Sikkim Bihar Meghalaya Assam Arunachal Pradesh East Uttar Pradesh also will observe moderate rain at some places heavy rain during 03 to 05 July.

On 06th, 07th and 08th North Konkan including Mumbai, Gujarat region and Kutch, south Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh will observe heavy rain. Saurashtra area may face very heavy rainfall.

Remaining part of the country will observe light to moderate rain.
After this week monsoon trough may shift to foot hills of Himalaya.
