WEEKLY WEATHER REPORT FOR THE WEEK FROM 24TH TO 30TH AUGUST

The well-marked low-pressure area over central Madhya Pradesh, intensified into low-pressure area over east Rajasthan on 23^rd August and moved southwestwards towards southwest Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan during the next two days.

On 25^th August, the low-pressure area intensified into well-marked low pressure over the North Bay of Bengal. It also has taken the same path as the last low-pressure area and moved over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and reached north Madhya Pradesh on 30^th August.

Vigorous rainfall activity was observed over the central parts of India viz. West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat during the week.
